Winterfying Summer Clothing

Influence playsuit (purchase here) | New Look jacket (purchase here) | Carvela loafers (purchase here) | Asos tights (purchase here)

A playsuit is a very summery garment, but I couldn't wait until next summer to show this one off. It's possible to winterfy a summer outfit by adding a few warm pieces of clothing. It wasn't particularly cold today so all I needed to add was a warm jacket and a nice thick pair of tights to keep myself from shivering. A cosy scarf and gloves would make a good addition to this outfit for an even colder day.

Bloggers Blog Awards

Self-Portrait dress (purchase here) | Coast shoes (purchase here) | Michael Kors coat (similar) | Osprey London bag (purchase here)

This weekend I attended a blogger event at Canal Mills in Leeds, organised by Hayley at Tea Party Beauty. I only really had time to take a couple of pictures of my outfit before I set out, so the backdrop isn't ideal but it's the clothes that count. I was so cold posing for a photo without my coat. Can you tell I'm shivering in the first picture? I've had my eye on this dress for a while and I'm so happy I finally had an excuse to buy it. I had loads of compliments on it at the awards; everyone was so lovely (and well dressed of course).
It struck me how supportive and friendly the blogging community is as a whole. I didn't really know what to expect at first. This was the first blogger gathering I had ever been to and the idea of turning up alone to an event where I knew literally no one was really nerve-racking. I needn't have worried so much. I met so many incredible people who made me feel immensely welcome.
I had a chance to talk to many of the nominees and victors of awards in several different categories. I cannot find the words to express how proud I am of all of them. The winners were well chosen; all thoroughly deserving, dedicated bloggers. I can't congratulate them enough!
My iPhone snap of the event doesn't do it justice, but Hayley did an amazing job in organising it. The venue was perfect and everything came together really nicely. It was completely worth the journey from north Wales. I had a brilliant time!

Outfit Under £50

Boohoo dress (purchase here) | Boohoo cardigan (purchase here) | Boohoo shoes (purchase here) | Pretty Little Thing necklace (purchase here)

I have a habit of overspending on clothes. For this post I thought I'd try and put together an outfit for under £50.
Here's a rundown of the costs:
Dress - £10 (on sale, down from £15)
Cardigan - £18
Necklace - £4 (on sale, down from £6)
Shoes - £5 (on sale, down from £15)
The total cost amounts to £37. As always, the links to purchase the clothing are above.
As you'll probably have noticed, most of the pieces in this outfit came from Boohoo, which is a great place for cheap clothing if you're on a budget. I'm hoping to put together more of these under £50 outfits in the future, so I'll definitely try and use more of a variety of cost friendly clothing retailers.

Autumn Colours

Influence dress (purchase here) | thrifted jacket (similar) | Dorothy Perkins ankle boots (similar) | Evans necklace (purchase here)

This isn't my first post of autumn, but I thought that I'd put together an outfit with colours to match the new season. I've chosen a combination of red and brown clothing, accessorised with a gold necklace. It's still pretty warm outside so I'm not bundling up in a million layers just yet, but I'm looking forward to changing up my outfits in the upcoming months to suit the changing temperature.

Floral Kimono

Top Shop top (similar) | River Island skirt (similar) | Blink shoes (similar) | Fashion Union kimono (similar here and here) | New Look belt (similar)

It feels like ages since I last posted. Sorry for the hiatus. I'm still very much committed to this blog and plan on sticking around for a while.
For this outfit I teamed an all black ensemble with an orange floral kimono. I hope you like what I've put together.

Monochrome

New Look skirt (purchase here) | New Look top (similar) | New Look belt (similar) | Asos necklace (purchase here) | Ralph Lauren shoes (similar)

Everyone seems to be wearing chokers nowadays and I hadn't really jumped on the bandwagon until now because I didn't like the idea of something so tight around my neck. I have to say though, the choker isn't uncomfortable at all and it looks great. I teamed it with a black top from New Look, a black and white pleated skirt also from New Look, a pair of black Ralph Lauren flats, a New Look black belt and some opaque black tights. I was going for a monochrome sort of look and I really like the way that everything has come together. I'm a huge fan of this skirt. It's on sale at the moment, so if you're thinking of buying it you might want to snap it up quickly!

Turquoise & White

George top (similar) | Topshop jeans (similar) | George shoes (similar) | cuff bracelet (bought from ExclusiveCraft on Etsy) (similar) | Ted Baker bag (similar)

It has been a couple of weeks since my last post due to other personal commitments, so I thought I'd showcase a nice and simple outfit. I've been dying to use this beaded cuff bracelet that I ordered from Etsy but I was having difficulty styling it until now. I recently managed to find a pair of turquoise Jamie jeans from Topshop and they're a perfect match for the bracelet. I teamed these pieces with a white top, bag and shoes.
The photos were all taken yesterday in Haworth, Yorkshire. I spent the day there; it's a really nice little village.
